How to be a Good Fantasy Football _________(Wife, Fiancee', Girlfriend)...

Let's face it, it's that time of year again. He's signed up, he's drafted, and he's dominating.... the T.V. (and his league, of course).

Here are some tips to help ease the transition into Fall...

1. Realize this: Football Season to men is like Fall Fashion to women. We read about it, we talk about it, we invest in it. It's serious. Just like we know leopard, the color red, and leggings are in style for Fall; they know who the quarterback is on the worst team in the NFL, who to start/who to sit, and....(just as I sit here and ask my husband for a 3rd thing they must know about Fantasy Football, I have lost him to the last 14 seconds of the Miami vs. Florida State game)...you get my point.

2. If you don't have satellite T.V., we recommend http://www.directv.com/ -ask for the NFL Package.

3. It is recommended to install satellite radio into any vehicle that may be used to transport your "Team Owner", formally known as your ______________ (husband, fiancee', boyfriend). This allows him not to miss a single point that his "players" make.

4. Be understanding of what seems to be 'erratic' behavior. A Fantasy Football game is not just about a win or a loss...every detail can make a difference in the "Fantasy World".

5. Get into it. You don't have to love it, but, just like you like talking about your new X, Y, and Z that you read about in US Weekly, men like talking about things they love. More than that, they are happy to share their knowledge with you. Don't be offended, however, if his answer comes a little slowly, in fragments...or if he seems sidetracked...he's multi-tasking...

6. Skinny Dip. Okay, we take that back... "Good Dip". We don't mean to be to "Stepford Wife-ish" here, but, who doesn't love a good snack for the big game...? Besides, if you are going to sit through the game, you might as well have something delicious to really indulge in... the link to some of our fave game time dips below...

These steps should lead your man to "Fantasize" about more then football this Fall...Enjoy!

Question from a No Excuses Introductions and Concierge member of our group on Facebook: How do you get a guy to be romantic?

Answer from No Excuses Introductions and Concierge Founders: Not all guys are romantic. However, we did some research to see if there's any hope.

Try this:

1. Communicate with your man and tell him what it is that would be nice to spice up the romance...different women want different things...guys appreciate when you tell them directly what you need.

2. Go first! Lead into romance by doing something romantic first. If a guy catches on to the feelings that romance can bring, he's likely to realize that it is rewarding for him, too.

3. Reciprocate. If your guy does something romantic, remember to return the favor. Guys like nice things done for them, too.

4. Contact No Excuses Concierge. noexcusestexas@gmail.com

Ideas:

  • Leave a note on his/her car, by their sink, in their luggage, under their pillow, by the coffee pot...any where they frequent! It doesn't have to rhyme, be long, or poetic... a nice message from the significant other is special!
  • Make an old-fashioned phone call. Ladies love to receive calls from their significant others ask her on a date a couple of days in advance. Plan the date. When it's time for the date, know exactly what you are doing and where you're taking her. That adds romance, that you took the time to plan!! (Or have No Excuses Concierge plan and take the credit!)
  • Email them a link to a sweet, sexy, romantic, special song...
  • Send them a card in the REAL mail... these days it's nice to get something in the real mail aside from bills.
